MAN UP features two magnificent lead actors in the shapes of Simon Pegg and Lake Bell as they take on a romantic comedy with a difference.
Bell plays Nancy, who’s 34, hung-over and worn out by the endless set-ups hoisted upon her by well-meaning friends. As she travels across London to celebrate another 10 years of her parent’s happy marriage, 40-year-old divorcee Jack (Pegg) mistakes her for his 24 year old blind date. In a moment of uncharacteristic optimism, Nancy decides to just go with it… what follows looks like a lot comedy moments, unravelling of real desires, wants and more.
The only sadness that hits me with this trailer is I was there the morning they filmed this in Waterloo Station, and I didn’t know this was happening. Personal regret over, here’s that trailer and remember…#TakeChances…
If you haven’t seen the excellent IN A WORLD… yet then resolve that this week by finding it on Netflix or your other local streaming service.
Directed by Ben Palmer, MAN UP is in UK cinemas from May 29th.
