Kurt Cobain has fascinated music lovers from when he was alive and kicking right through to his untimely death and beyond. The legendary, immensely talented Nirvana frontman was a whirlwind of invention and an utter hurricane of talent but along with those levels of creativity, there always comes a flip-side and, as we all know, in this case it was his suicide at 27.
Nirvana as a band and in their own right were, of course, hugely influential and original but Cobain was the lead vision who really clicked into the slot with fans. COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK is all about the lead man, as filmmaker Brett Morgen blends Cobain’s personal archive of art, music, never seen before movies, animation and revelatory interviews from his family and closest friends.
We’re told we’ll get to follow Kurt from his earliest years right through to the end, as we discover things we never knew about this icon that still effects people today. Interestingly, this comes on a week when the Amy Winehouse doc was announced as well, you can find more about that by clicking here. But first, here and now, watch the trailer:
COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK opens in the UK cinemas on April 10th, and will be available to own on Digital Download on April 24th and on Blu-ray and DVD on April 27th.
