We all know that the rebooted POWER RANGERS movie is due out in 2016 but we haven’t heard any updates in ages. Hopefully the silence is due to them being hard at work at created an idea that will make fans happy. In the mean time though Ali Shankar has created a brilliant little spook/spin off POWER/RANGERS which stars Dawson Creek‘s James Van Der Beek and Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff.
The pair play grown up versions of original pink ranger Kimberly and the second incarnation of the red ranger, Rocky. It’s the future and machines have taken over, Rocky has changed sides and the short is set during a showdown between the pair. A must watch for fans of the original series, the story sheds light onto the fate of the other rangers Jason, Zach, Trini, Billy and Tommy. Give it a whirl below, be warned though this definitely isn’t a child friendly version.
