So here’s an interesting news story to kick off your Oscars weekend. It seems that Steven Spielberg is wanting to direct the potential Indiana Jones reboot, which will probably have Chris Pratt playing everyone’s favourite whip-cracking archaeologist. The word over at Deadline is that Spielberg, who directed the original four movies with Harrison Ford, is pretty adamant that he will helm any kind of reboot that new Lucasfilm owners Disney want, despite there being no script as yet.
I think that this is a pretty good thing. I love the original (three) movies, and while it will be a shame to see Ford move on to pastures new, Pratt is definitely the best choice to replace him, and if Speilberg wants in, then that can only be a good thing as well.
Meanwhile, Pratt can next be seen in JURASSIC WORLD, another Spielberg franchise this summer. We’ll bring you more Indy news as we get it.
