New Nightcrawler Cast In ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

It may not be released until next year but Bryan Singer is making sure that we don’t forget about X-MEN: APOCALYPSE as he earlier announced yet another cast member. Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Sophie Turner, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are already attached to the project, but they now have a new addition to welcome into the ever expanding fold. Kodi Smit-McPhee whose body of work includes THE ROAD and DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has signed on to play Nightcrawler.

Brought to the big screen first by Alan Cumming Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler is a firm fan favourite. For those mot in the know Nightcrawler’s mutant abilities include superhuman agility, adhesive hand and feet and the ability to teleport! He also has a rather altered physical appearance; blue skin (or fur), two-toed feet and three-fingered hands, yellow eye, pointy ears and a tail.

Excited to welcome @kodismitmcphee to the cast of #XmenApocalypse as young #Nightcrawler. @alexvaughanphoto

So what do you make of the new addition? Personally we’ve always had a soft spot for Kodi and are quite intrigued to see what he can do.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE hits cinemas worldwide from 27th May 2016.
