In 2016, we will get a new GHOSTBUSTERS movie. New cast, new story, new director. Over the weekend Saturday Night Live celebrated its 40th birthday, and our four new female Ghostbusters were there celebrating the massive event.
Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Kate McKinnon are the main cast in director Paul Feig’s new movie, which hits cinemas on the 22nd July next year. Jone tweeted the following image from the SNL event, which shows the four girls together for the first time ahead of production. Check it out below.
GHOSTBUSTERS (2016) will be a stand-alone story, not connected with any previous stories in the GHOSTBUSTERS universe. We’re hearing that it will be slanted more towards the scary than the funny, but considering these four are involved, we’re guessing we’ll still get lots of the funny.
Ok I’m exhausted but this week was epic!#winningpic.twitter.com/T70ay2YGtA
