First Official Trailer For ‘Ted 2’

Ted 2

Seth Macfarlane’s A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST, may have underperformed in the eyes of audiences and critics. However, the hilariously opinionated and outspoken star still struck gold with his 2012 smash hit comedy behemoth, TED. After Universal Studios received over ten times the budget of their R rated production in ticket sales, it came as little surprise to learn that TED 2 was on the horizon.

Not only did the original film manage to make Mark Wahlberg an A-list, household name, but it also effectively demonstrated that Macfarlane’s crude comedy style can translate to the big screen with ease. With Family Guy, American Dad and… *ahem* The Cleveland Show , all proving that their is indeed a huge market for this particular brand of humour, it seems strange that it has taken this long for Macfarlane to make the jump to the big screen.

With that in mind, audiences should be appropriately excited for the return of the most foul-mouthed bear in cinema history. A few days ago we were treated to the first teaser poster for the film, and now the first official trailer for TED 2 has been released. So what are you waiting for? grab your thunder buddy and check out the new trailer below:

The sequel will arrive in UK theatres on 10th July and will feature returning stars Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Barth, Patrick Warburton, Sam J. Jones and of course Seth Macfarlane as the titular teddy bear. Newcomers include Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Richard Schiff and Dennis Haysbert. Also, I would expect a multitude of celebrity cameo appearances…given that it is a Seth Macfarlane movie after all. With Patrick Stewart’s brilliant trailer monologue, it also wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine that Macfarlane’s good friend and regular collaborator has recorded some additional dialogue for the film too.
