UPDATED: Paul Feig Confirms ‘Ghostbusters’ Stars & Release Date!

We already knew that Paul Feig was completely rebooting GHOSTBUSTERS and with an all-female cast and now…it’s looks like he’s confirmed his leads!

Via Feig’s Twitter, he’s put up a picture of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones! We don’t know the latter two as well in the UK but they’ve all got their Saturday Night Live loving in over the recent years and are four very funny ladies indeed. Everyone from Rebel Wilson to Gillian Anderson wanted a bite of the ‘Busters, so this looks like the first say in a brand new outing.

Interestingly, I recently heard that Ivan Reitman backed the third, now new, outing for his old team and said it was a ‘healthy transition‘ for Feig and the ladies to take over and quite frankly, why not. Yes, the original is held in high esteem by many, that includes myself, but many generations will just find this as a whole new outing. Anyway, here’s your image and the release date below the image!

GHOSTBUSTERS, as we now know, is set for a 2016 release date.
