Is Chris Pratt Set For ‘Indiana Jones’ Reboot?

Chris PrattWith Disney having acquired Lucasfilm, it’s easy to forget that it’s not all just about STAR WARS. Rumours are now leaking out of a possible INDIANA JONES reboot, with Chris Pratt taking over from Harrison Ford. The last film in the franchise, INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, was absolutely awful on most accounts, but still went on to be a box-office hit. There were mutterings of a fifth film, but it now seems as though Disney would rather start over again.

The move seems to make sense, as Ford can hardly be expected to carry a brand new series of films. Pratt meanwhile, is already the lead in Disney’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, which has a confirmed sequel, as well as heading up the fourth film in the JURASSIC PARK franchise, JURASSIC WORLD. The first two films in that series of course being directed by INDIANA JONES director Steven Spielberg.

If INDIANA JONES has to be rebooted, it’s hard to think of anyone better suited to the role than Pratt. Disney may have to wait awhile though, as Pratt will be busy with THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2, and THE LEGO MOVIE 2.
