SynopsisLarry spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.

Larry (Ben Stiller) is back working the nightshift and now he’s also in charge of the museum’s ‘special effects’, but something is wrong with The Tablet of Ahkmenrah and it’s sending the museum pieces a bit crazy. It’s down to him to find out what’s going on…once he can persuade his son to take life more seriously than he seems to be.

Larry and his friends have taken their adventure to London for NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB, and the new setting is a welcome one that breathes new life into the series after a questionable second outing. Many of our favourite characters are still along for the ride – including Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt, Owen Wilson as Jebediah, Steve Coogan as Octavius and Ricky Gervais as Dr. McPhee – but we also have plenty of new characters and museum pieces to enjoy. Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens is an especially welcome addition as Sir Lancelot, bringing cheeky British charm, humour and depth to his character. There’s also the commanding presence of Ben Kingsley and the riotous fun of star-of-the-moment Rebel Wilson to enjoy.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB is designed to be silly, as a fun adventure and it effortlessly taps into the magic of imagination, and quite brilliantly. Yet, interestingly, there’s also just enough of an actual plot to keep it from being solely farcical as we journey through the bonds of family, of changing plans and – not to steal from FROZEN or anything – learning to let it go.

The magic truly lives on in NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB, a film that is sure to appeal to all ages. It is packed full of big laughs, heart and adventure and there are some great nods to the earlier films along with plenty of fresh ideas and hilarious surprises. It’s great fun for the whole family this holiday season and is an adventure out to the very reaches of the imagination.

[usr=4] NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB opens in UK cinemas this Friday, 19th December.
