Warner Bros. has just released the official trailer for George Miller’s fourth installment in the Mad Max series MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, and by all accounts, it promises a thrilling and explosive return to theatres come May 2015.
Having survived 25 years in its own dystopic wasteland, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD returns with Max Rockatansky (played this time around by Tom Hardy) who, still haunted by the past, exists alone as the rest of humanity continue to fight over what’s left of life’s necessities. After a chance encounter with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron), who believes survival is possible if she returns to her homeland, Max becomes embroiled in a high-octane road war between rebels and the Warlord Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne) who is on the hunt for something irreplaceable.
Miller, who wrote and directed the non-stop chase along FURY ROAD, has created a visually stunning, action centric film, heavily supported by an array of dark and determined rebels including Nux (Nicholas Hoult), Toast (Zoë Kravitz), Capable (Riley Keough), and Rictus Erectus (Nathan Jones).
