Earlier today, The Hollywood News had the opportunity to attend the world press conference for THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES, the final chapter in director Peter Jackson’s epic series. The conference was potentially the biggest THN have attended over the years with Sir Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, Ryan Gage, Orlando Bloom, producer Phillipa Boyens, Billy Boyd and Peter Jackson, all lined up on stage in front of us.
During the press conference, Jackson spoke about frame rates, working on the film, dreams, motion capture, more Tokein adaptations and the planned extended edition of the movie, which the writer/producer/director confirmed that would contain an extra 30 minutes of footage, and that he would start work on in it in the new year.
We’ve managed to string together some of the best bits from the press conference from today, and you can check it out via our YouTube channel below.
Enjoy #OneLastTime.
We’ll be posting our review of the film later this week. In short… we liked it.
