Variety are reporting that a sequel is in the works to Duncan Jones’s brilliant time bending Jake Gyllenhaal starrer SOURCE CODE. Anna Foerster (OUTLANDER) is to direct the film, which will be scripted by the original’s writer, Ben Ripley.
SOURCE CODE revolved around Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal), a soldier caught in a revolving 8-minute time loop where he is attempting to solve the mystery of a commuter train bombing.
No word at this stage as to whether Gyllenhaal is involved, or if Duncan Jones is connected in any way, but we really loved the original, so are intrigued as to what Ripley has got in mind for a follow-up.
