SAFE HOUSE director Espinosa has stepped up to direct the planned movie based around the 2013 Boston bombings, BOSTON STRONG. Espinosa, whose next film to hit the big screen in CHILD 44 with Ton Hardy and Gary Oldman, is officially in talks with 20th Century Fox to helm the film, which was set to star Casey Affleck, who we believe has just exited the project for unknown reasons.
The film will be based on the forthcoming book of the same name by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge. The book is said to ‘chronicle the aftermath of the bombing, specifically the massive manhunt for the perpetrators and the city’s reaction to the tragedy.’
