Actors Up For Young Cyclops & Jean Grey In ‘X-Men’

X-Men 1. CyclopsWith X-MEN: APOCALYPSE getting ready for a 2016 release, casting rumours have been announced for the roles of Jean Grey and Cyclops. The two characters have obviously been included in the original trilogy, as well as cameos in this year’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, with Cyclops also making an appearance in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE and Jean Grey popping up in THE WOLVERINE. With James Marsden and Famke Janssen having played the roles originally, they are too old for the current X-Men timeline which follows a younger Professor X and Magneto.

Casting suggestions for Jean Grey, so far, include Elle Fanning, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Hailee Steinfeld, while the casting for Cyclops seems to be between Timothee Chalamet, Ben Hardy, and Charlie Rowe. If it does transpire that Professor X is gradually recruiting his household name team of mutants, then perhaps we’ll see other young versions of characters. It certainly looks as though they are casting their net wide here, with Ben Hardy being most familiar with UK audiences for his role as Peter Beale in Eastenders. Will X-MEN: APOCALYPSE end with such dramatic notes?

They have to consider the chemistry between a young Jean Grey and Scott…believe Chloe would be able to be seductive, strong, yet vulnerable…but the word is she isn’t getting the role
