I posted that headline as I did because I have quite honestly never heard of this movie prior to writing this article. Surprising really considering the amount of movies I personally digest news-wise every day. Yes indeed, George Lucas has a movie arriving in (US) cinemas in January; one which he wrote the story for, and executive produces.
The film is question is an animated fare named STRANGE MAGIC, the synopsis for which we’ve posted below.
Strange Magic is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.
Gary Rydstrom directs and co-wrote the screenplay with ELF writer David Berenbaum and Irene Mecchi (THE LION KING). There’s some quality pedigree in there then.
There is currently no release date set for the UK, but US audiences can see the film from January 23rd of 2015.
Check out the first art from the film above.
