Exclusive: Frank Grillo For Five Marvel Movies

crossbones

Frank Grillo is the star in next week’s home entertainment release THE PURGE: ANARCHY. The film is a pseudo-sequel to THE PURGE, a future set horror that sees all crimes legalised for one night a year. The first film starred Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey as a couple who found their home invaded during the festivities, the follow up shows a group of people who find themselves trapped on the streets during the chaos. Grillo was also on your screens earlier this year in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, he played Brock Rumlow, one of the corrupt agents. Comic fans will of course know that his character has a rather interesting alter-ego, Crossbones, one of Red Skulls more formidable henchmen. The Cap didn’t manage to finish off Rumlow in this years film so could that mean that Crossbones will make an appearance in the third instalment?

Well the answer may very well be yes. Whilst conducting an interview with the New York actor we took the opportunity to ask whether he would be up for developing that side to his character. It being a Marvel film he was understandably very coy about what he could and couldn’t say stating:

“I am not at liberty to discuss anything Marvel related, they want to keep everything a surprise.”

Though when asked hypothetically were they to ask would he be up for it he let slip :

“I’m signed with Marvel for five or six movies so when they call I have to come.”

So there you have it folks, we should definitely be seeing more of Grillo in future CAPTAIN AMERICA movies, and it’d be pretty silly to have his character of Rumlow feature and not morph him into Crossbones.
