Dave Bautista’s performance in this summer’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY surprised a lot of people. Given his background in World Wrestling Entertainment, an environment not known for its thespians, expectations were low as to his acting ability. Refreshingly though Bautista shone through, his character Drax being many viewers favourite, and the WWE star was praised highly by critics everywhere.

Following this success it seems that the muscular mountain may have clinched a role in the next BOND film. Last week it was revealed that BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOUR actress Lea Seydoux would be joining Daniel Craig for BOND 24, and now it seems the production has cast one of its villains. From reports it appears that Bautista has managed to snag a role in the popular franchise, playing henchman Hinx.

The producers were apparently on the look-out for somebody who could become as iconic a Bond villain as Jaws and Oddjob; Bautista’s strong physique definitely leaves a lasting impression so it would seem that their search is over.

Either way we will know for definite shortly as filming is set to kick off on December 6th, with a release of 23rd October 2015.
