Originally starting its life on the small screen as a HBO show, Sex and the City was rewarded with two cinematic outings following the television series end. The films were a box-office gold, at the time of release this writer worked for a cinema and can verify that the preview nights were carnage with the film selling out screens left and right. We even had to cancel other films, sorry INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL, so that we could contend with the demand for seats.
The sequel didn’t do quite as well as the first but was by no means a flop but there hasn’t been a great deal of chatter about a third film. The leading ladies are all thought to be up for another whirl around New York and the below tweet seems to point to some secret conversations behind closed doors that may well mean that SEX AND THE CITY 3 will be announced in the very near future.
@SJP Yyyeessssss….. But I’m afraid to get TOO excited yet – You let me know when we can celebrate. XO
