What better way to hype up a heist film based on magic, than by casting the most famous wizard of all, Daniel Radcliffe. NOW YOU SEE ME became a box-office surprise hit last year and a sequel was planned almost instantly. It starred a group of illusionists and magicians whose grandiose shows eventually lead to crime in a ‘rob from the rich’ kind of fashion. Michael Caine, the cruel insurance man from the first film, is set to reprise his role (probably looking for revenge), and has revealed that Daniel Radcliffe will play his son. Speaking to HeyUGuys, Caine had this to say:
There’s a sequel to NOW YOU SEE ME and we’re shooting in London. I shoot in December, the whole of December in London, and my son is Harry Potter. I thought it’d be funny, me and Daniel Radcliffe as father and son.
It’s a welcome surprise and Radcliffe will join the stellar cast of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, and Isla Fisher. Radcliffe is also starring in teh upcoming HORNS as well as an adaptation of FRANKENSTEIN. Jon M. Chu, the man behind G.I. JOE: RETALIATION takes over from Louis Leterrier as director.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
