Meet The New Zombie Squad: Character Details For ‘The Walking Dead’ Spinoff Revealed

walking_dead-key-art

We recently brought the news that The Walking Dead was getting a spin-off series, now we can share details regarding the characters that will inhabit the new show. The new series which has yet to be given an official title will focus on a previously unseen part of the zombie apocalypse story. The most likely story arch would be set before and during the initial stages of the outbreak something with the main show skimmed over. And just who will we be hoping will survive? Below is all the information we have on the new proposed cast of characters.

Sean Cabrera: A Latino male in his early 40s, Sean is a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life.

Cody Caberea: Sean’s whip-smart and rebellious teenage son. Known for his fiery temper.

Andrea Chapman: (No not that Andrea) A fortysomething ‘wilted flower child’ Andrea has retreated to the outskirts of the city to recover after a horrible marriage.

Nancy Tompkins:  A thirtysomething single mother with two kids, Nancy looks like the girl next door but there’s an edge to her.

Nick Tompkins: Nancy’s screwed up teenage son. He’s too old to stay home, too scared to flee.

Ashley Tompkins: Nancy’s mostly level-headed teenage daughter. Her ambition is in direct proportion to her older brother’s failures. She loves her mother but dreams of escape.

From these descriptions it would appear that the central location may very well be suburbia, with a high ratio of teenagers. Could the show me trying to steal some of the teen market?  Casting decisions have not yet been confirmed, though we at THN would welcome your suggestions.

An airdate has yet to be announced though it will be at some point during 2015. Parent show The Walking Dead returns on October 12th in the US and the following day, October 13th in the UK.
