The Lannisters Send Their Regards To ‘Pride & Prejudice & Zombies’

Pride And Prejudice And ZombiesPRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES was already looking to capture the imaginations of Jane Austen fans and lovers of horror, and then they reeled in the interest of Whovians by casting Matt Smith. Now it seems another excitable fanbase will be included in the hype, as two stars of Game Of Thrones have secured roles in the period piece mash-up. Charles Dance and Lena Headey, who played father and daughter Tywin and Cersei Lannister in the HBO series, will take on roles in Burr Steers’ adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s cult novel that went on to inspire many bizarre twists on classic tales.

The roles of Dance and Headey are yet to be specified, but we do now know that Screen Gems have secured distribution rights. The film tells the classic tale of love, and throws in zombies for good measure. Although a release date is yet to be confirmed, the film should appear sometime next year. The cast also includes Lily James, Bella Heathcote, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Douglar Booth, and Suki Waterhouse. The script is handled by not just Steers himself, but also SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK and THREE KINGS director, David O’ Russell, with one time attached star, Natalie Portman, as producer.
