October is almost here and that can mean only one thing, it’s not long until American Horror Story returns. The show has a rather unique approach to its continuity with each season being a completely self-contained story. Even more interestingly is the fact that cast members from previous seasons are re-cast into new roles, giving them the chance to show their range as actors.
The first series focussed on a haunted house, the second on a truly insane asylum and the third followed a coven of witches. The new fourth chapter will be set at a 1950’s ‘freak’ show. Headed by the fantastic Jessica Lange, the circus troupe features the likes of Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Michael Chiklis, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett as a variety of mediums, bearded ladies and strong men.
New images showcasing the cast and their ‘talents’ have been released. Alongside the previously mentioned cast members we are treated to a glimpse at new additions Denis O’Hare and Wes Bentley. See all the images below: 
American Horror Story: Freak Show returns to the US on 8th October, the UK will welcome it back on 21st October.
