Behind-The-Scenes: Excellent ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ Stunts & B-Roll Featurette

edge-of-tomorrow_still-18

EDGE OF TOMORROW is by far one of the most inventive, funny and action-packed movies of the year so far. Tom Cruise excelled with a different character role where he wasn’t the hero to begin with, but became one. It was a huge return to form, and he’s damn impressive in JACK REACHER as well, although the latter much more underrated.

One of the best things about EDGE OF TOMORROW was not only the plot reset but the incredible stunts and explosions, with much of it created practically and the old-fashioned way. We know Cruise would be up for getting involved and it’s great to see movies behind made and fully creating the scene, rather than just throwing slightly cheap CGI at the viewer.

Watch it now:

EDGE OF TOMORROW is set in the distant future during a war between aliens and humans. Cruise plays Bill Cage, an untrained marketing officer who’s dragged into the world and then caught in a time loop on his last day in the battle. Once there, he finds the ‘Full Metal Bitch’ Rita Vrataski, who’s played by the awesome Emily Blunt, and is a soldier who’s saved so many but Cruise must stop her from dying, so they can win the war. It’s directed by Doug Liman and written by Christopher McQuarrie, with a screenplay by Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. Head here for all the details on how to pick up your copy soon!
