Dreamworks’ B.O.O.: BUREAU OF OTHERWORLDLY OPERATIONS is over a year away for us in the UK and won’t hit the US until June 2015, but we can now take a look at some of the lead characters thanks to, of all things, a ‘Learn To Draw’ book currently available to pre-order on Amazon. The film sees 2 ghosts joining the titular organisation, a group who go around investigating and preventing hauntings. Seth Rogen and Melissa McCarthy take on the roles of the two new ghosts hoping to stop an evil haunter by the name of Addison Drake, played by former Ghostbuster, Bill Murray. Funnily enough, Seth Rogen was once tipped to be one of the replacement GHOSTBUSTERS in GHOSTBUSTERS 3, while more recently, Murray suggested McCarthy as part of a female ensemble for the long-awaited threequel.
The film was first announced in 2009 and what is now B.O.O.: BUREAU OF OTHERWORLDLY OPERATIONS, was once known as BOO U, about a ghost who must return to ghost school in order to perfect his scare tactics. Perhaps the arrival of MONSTERS UNIVERSITY put a stop to that.
B.O.O.: BUREAU OF OTHERWORLDLY OPERATIONS is released in the US on 5th June 2015 and in the UK on 16th October 2015. It stars the voices of Seth Rogen, Melissa McCarthy, Rashida Jones, Bill Murray, Jennifer Coolidge, Matt Bomer, and Octavia Spencer.
