After we shared the visually wonderful clip from Disney-Pixar’s upcoming short film LAVA earlier this week, we’ve just heard of more exciting animations that are coming up from the ever-impressive studios.
There’s Pixar’s LAVA, directed by James Ford Murphy, that stars a singing Hawaiian volcano called Uku who’s on the lookout for love. The voice is provided by Kuana Torres Kahele and will screen before their 2015 film, INSIDE OUT. The small clip shows how talented those folk are with a small moment being unforgettable, you can watch it here.
For the spring of 2015, they’ve also announced that FROZEN FEVER is on the way. Following the huge successful of icy adventure FROZEN, the short is set around Anna’s birthday and ensuing complications when Elsa’s powers start to get in the way. It brings back Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck to direct, alongside songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Finally, their other project is FEAST. Although food-related, it’s more about a Boston terrier puppy called Winston who has a secret relationship with his owner over 12-years; as they subtly share a meal under the dinner table. It’s directed by Patrick Osborne, who also did the fantastically nostalgic PAPERMAN and is set to open before Disney’s next big feature film, BIG HERO 6, that’s released 7th November in the US and 30th January, 2015 in the UK.
