The creepy horror from 1976 is to be turned into a six-part series for Lifetime. THE OMEN based series is to be called Damien and is set during Damien’s adult years. Former showrunner of The Walking Dead Glen Mazzara is to executive produce the series alongside Ross Fineman and Pancho Mansfield. Lifetime’s Executive VP Rob Sharenow speaks more about the series:
“Glen Mazzara has re-imagined him as a dark, romantic, anti-hero and this fresh take blends complex characters with premium storytelling to make something truly original,”
The original film starred Gregory Peck as an American ambassador who fears his only son is the anti-christ. The film spawned three sequels and a remake with Liev Schreiber.
Keep checking back for more updates on Damien…
