An extended TV spot for David Fincher’s GONE GIRL adaptation debuted last during the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards and shows Ben Affleck’s character facing accusations of having something to do with his wife’s disappearance.
The spot reveals some new footage, but most is easily recognised from the most recent trailer. It does well by not giving away too much, even fans of Gillian Flynn’s bestseller are sure to be looking forward to the film’s release. It had been previously announced that the film has been given a new ending.
On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behaviour have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
Check it out:
Diredcted by David Fincher the film stars Rosamund Pike, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Scoot McNairy, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson, Emily Ratajkowski, and Neil Patrick Harris.
