What now seems to be moving at an incredible pace, the ANT-MAN film is well underway. We’ve seen our first look at Paul Rudd, and now Evangeline Lilly has shared her new do with her followers on Instagram. The Lost and THE HOBBIT star will play the role of Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) daughter, Hope Van Dyne, whose mother was Wasp also known as Janet Van Dyne. Whether taking her mother’s maiden name will be a plot point is yet to be seen. Douglas has said the original Wasp will make an appearance, but this might just be in flashback form. Pym is the original Ant-Man from the comics, but Peyton Reed’s film version will give the mantle to conman Scott Lang.
The pics only give us a look at Lilly’s new haircut, but for a film with less than a year in production and post-production, ANT-MAN may very well keep us updated continuously throughout the next year before kicking off Phase 3 of Marvel’s cinematic universe.
ANT-MAN is scheduled for release on 17th July 2015. It stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, and Michael Pena.

His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
