Haunting Trailer Released For Reitman’s ‘Men, Women & Children’

As a fan of both JUNO and UP IN THE AIR, it’s exciting to see trailers for anything new Jason Reitman has been working on. Today we can bring you the almost silent, haunting trailer for MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN, which explores our relationships with each other via the internet.

MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN follows the story of a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they attempt to navigate the many ways the internet has changed their relationships, their communication, their self-image, and their love lives. The film attempts to stare down social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and the proliferation of illicit material on the internet. As each character and each relationship is tested, we are shown the variety of roads people choose – some tragic, some hopeful – as it becomes clear that no one is immune to this enormous social change that has come through our phones, our tablets, and our computers.

Adapted from the novel written by Chad Kultgen, this definitely looks interesting. Dealing with a variety of issues and topics, all in relation to social media and the web, this may be one film that forces us all to reflect.

MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN stars Ansel Elgort, Adam Sandler, Judy Greer, Emma Thompson, Jennifer Garner, J.K. Simmons and Rosemarie DeWitt. It is expected for release later this year.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
