With less than a week to go before the new series of Doctor Who returns to our screens, it seems the end may already be on its way for Clara, the current companion played by actress Jenna Coleman.
Clara will soon be seen as companion to Peter Capaldi’s new Doctor but there are reports circulating that Coleman is in discussions about her exit and may be departing with the now traditional Christmas special. Though still unconfirmed by the BBC, this news may not be all that surprising as many companions have their departures interwoven into the plotline for a good few episodes before they actually leave. This could be simply a matter of laying the groundwork.
There is, of course, always the chance that Coleman might be able to pop back! After all, Clara does have a tendency to just keep appearing throughout time.
Doctor Who returns with ‘Deep Breath’ on Saturday 23rd August. We’ve already seen it and we promise you won’t be disappointed, there’s great Gothic adventures on the way…
