GODZILLA returned to the big screen this year after a 10 year hiatus, and he totally rocked. It was great to see the big G up on screen once again, and Gareth Edwards and Legendary were quick to announce a sequel in the works. Unfortunately us fans will have to wait until 2018 to see Godzilla once again, as Edwards will be taking on a stand-alone STAR WARS film in the meantime. 8th June 2018 is the official date, and Legendary teased the return of classic foes such as Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Rodan. A KING KONG prequel titled SKULL ISLAND is also coming from Legendary, as is PACIFIC RIM 2, so it looks as though us monster fans have a fantastic few years ahead of us.
GODZILLA 2 arrives 8th June 2018, while Edwards’ STAR WARS project lands on 16th December 2016.
