Kevin Costner’s upcoming project has just had a major shot in the arm casting-wise. Following news of Ryan Reynolds playing opposite the leading man milder than a supermarket cheddar at a school fete, Alice Eve has now been announced in a testosterone-countering move for an unknown role. She adds to the illustrious supporting cast of Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Oldman. Ariel Vromen (THE ICEMAN) is directing this peculiar-sounding memory implant thriller via Millennium Films. The script concerns Costner’s hardman (an unusual part for him but one he’s brought us before in Clint Eastwood’s A PERFECT WORLD) who is offered a mind-swap-type deal by the CIA.
Having held her own against Bryan Cranston in COLD COMES THE NIGHT, Eve is hopefully doing more than decorating the set. She’s wrapped on CAPTAIN AMERICA Chris Evans’ directorial debut BEFORE WE GO and is currently producing DEATH OF A FARMER, a no-nonsense title if ever there was one.
