Good news – the much lauded Bill Murray will voice the much loved bear, Baloo in Walt Disney’s upcoming THE JUNGLE BOOK.
The 3D live action/animation feature is directed by Jon Favreau. Murray will be joining an all star cast of Ben Kingsley (Bagheera), Lupita Nyong’o (Raksha), Christopher Walken (King Louie), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Scarlett Johansson (Kaa) and Neel Sethi (Mowgli).
This isn’t the first time Murray has provided his highly distinctive voice to a movie. He played everyone’s favourite sardonic cat in 2004’s GARFIELD. However Disney will be hoping their new rendition of THE JUNGLE BOOK will fare substantially better!
Of course we’ve also got Andy Serkis’ adaptation THE JUNGLE BOOK: ORIGINS coming along in 2016. But Disney is in there first with THE JUNGLE BOOK hitting cinemas this October.
