It’s a role that’s seen as something of a departure for HARRY POTTER star Daniel Radcliffe, and the marketing department have clearly had a bit of fun with the release of a San Diego Comic Con poster for HORNS.
We’d previously been offered a newspaper-fan-type poster, but now we’ve got the official one from SDCC 2014. Saying that, we’ve also included that teaser below as it looks pretty cool.
Let’s descend the levels of the inferno for a peek…
Bringing to mind the Daily Prophet headlines of that former franchise, the image also chooses to omit the key element of what’s on top of his head. Never mind, there’s a fairly large clue in the film’s title. Based on the novel by Joe Hill, the synopsis fills us in on the decidedly non-Rowling-esque goings-on…
Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) is accused for the violent rape and killing of his girlfriend, Merrin Williams. After a hard night of drinking, Ig awakens, hungover, to find horns growing out of his head; they have the ability to drive people to confess sins and give in to selfish impulses. Ig decides to use this effective tool to discover the circumstances of his girlfriend’s death and to seek revenge by finding the true murderer.
Director Alexandre Aja (THE HILLS HAVE EYES) has assembled some hellishly talented supporting players. There’s Juno Temple as Merrin, with Max Minghella, David Morse and Heather Graham filling out the cast.
Lionsgate will cannily release the movie at Halloween.
