First Look At Colton Haynes Suited Up As Arsenal On ‘Arrow’

Arrow Roy

Warner Bros. and The CW’s Arrow has been immensely successful in establishing a gritty comic book world, with a multitude of interesting and well-developed characters on the small screen. Over the first two seasons, the show has introduced viewers to a large variety of great characters (both super-powered and non super-powered) which have all grown and evolved throughout the course of its run.

Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper is one particularly brilliant example of a character who has been carefully developed over two years, to the point that he is now mirroring his comic book counterpart. For those who don’t know, Harper is the rough-around-the-edges street kid who eventually becomes the sidekick to Green Arrow (in this case Stephen Amell). In the upcoming third season it looks as if Haynes has finally reached full-vigilante mode as the Arrow’s partner ‘Arsenal’ and boy does his suit look snazzy! The outfit is clearly very reminiscent of Amell’s green attire, however with a few awesome tweaks to make him stand out as Starling City’s new bad-ass hero. Take a look below:

I’m particularly interested to see how the dark and gritty world of Arrow will convey the classic hero/sidekick dynamic, especially as we have yet to see a modern interpretation of the well known superhero trope. Of course, anybody familiar with the show will no doubt have complete faith in Andrew Kreisberg and his team after they nailed the introduction of The Flash.
