Back in 2012 Sony confirmed that it was looking to bring back ‘Manimal’, the short-lived NBC series, and stick it on the big screen. And it looks like it’s got producers, and not just any producers, but funny men Adam McKay and Will Ferrell!
We’re not sure whether either of them will take on more responsibilities with the project, but it’s been speculated that Ferrell could play the role of Dr. Jonathan Chase, and McKay might produce.
The series was created in 1983 by Glen A. Larson and Donald R. Boyle and followed Chase (Simon MacCorkindale), as a man with the ability to transform himself into any animal in the world. He would then use his powers to fight crime, so kind of like a teenage mutant ninja turtle, except he can turn into a golden retriever too.
What do you think, are there any other 80s shows you would like to see brought back? Let us know!
