One True Blood cast member who won’t be twiddling their thumbs when the show ends is Deborah Ann Woll. She’s moving from the sticks to the city as Daredevil‘s latest key signing. Everyone’s favourite Bible Belter-turned-undead-waitress will play Karen Page, a long-standing character from the comics and romantic interest for Charlie Cox’s hero Matt Murdock.
Debuting in 1964’s first issue, she was initially a lovestruck secretary before being reintroduced as a proactive sidekick for the ocularly-impaired crimefighter. I presume showrunner Steven S. DeKnight will be following the latter option after Woll’s extreme antics on her former series. She joins an impressive cast for the 13 episode run, including Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Rosario Dawson.
Daredevil is being produced by Marvel/ABC and will be released on Netflix.
