Walt Disney Studios have certainly been branching out in terms of animation recently. Certainly they come back every once in while with a classical tale such as TANGLED and FROZEN, but they’ve also explored other avenues with the likes of WRECK-IT RALPH and now BIG HERO 6. The film focuses on a group of 6 superheroes hired by the government to save a nation, which hardly sounds original, but some of the designs are very appealing, especially the adorable Baymax. The film has certainly been keeping things rather hush-hush, with only a teaser trailer released so far, but we can now reveal the voice cast employed to give life to these 6 heroes.
- Hiro Hamada = Ryan Potter
- Baymax = Scott Adsit
- Fred = T.J. Miller
- Go Go Tamago – Jamie Chung
- Wasabi = Damon Wayans Jr.
- Honey Lemon = Genesis Rodriguez
Each of these characters are pictured below while Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass, James Cromwell as Professor Callaghan, Alan Tudyk as Alistair Krei, and Daniel Henney as Tadashi Hamada also join the cast.
The film looks great so far, and with winning efforts with traditional tales and more contemporary offerings, perhaps Disney can truly challenge Pixar who seem to have settled on sequels for far too long.
BIG HERO 6 is released in the US on 7th November and in the UK on 30th January.
