7 Things We Learned From The New Harry Potter Story

Sensationalist reporter Rita Skeeter isn’t happy because Ginny Potter has been given the more prestigious coverage thanks to her infamous surname. But Skeeter isn’t one to let that get in the way of her work. Well sort of. She values her job enough to at least write a report on the Quidditch World Cup and tell us a bit about the VIPs in attendance this year, courtesy of Pottermore.

According to Skeeter (Harry Potter fans will know just how seriously to take her comments!), the following has become of our much-loved Potter characters:

1. Harry Potter and Victor Krum are huggers. They embraced on meeting and chatted for half an hour (along with Harry’s two boys). Though what they discussed for half an hour is anyone’s guess.

2. Harry is happily married to Ginny, is still an Auror, and sporting a cut near that infamous lightning scar. His hair is also starting to show signs of grey.

3. Ron, now married to Hermione, is losing his ginger hair which is apparently thinning. He works in the family shop with his brother George: Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.

4. Hermione is, unsurprisingly, on track for world domination after her meteoric rise to the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Next stop: minister!

5. Neville Longbottom, herbology teacher at Hogwarts, is married to Hannah, who is applying for the position of Matron at Hogwarts to be close to her husband.

6. Luna is married to Rolf Scamander (grandson to Newt Scamander) and has twin sons who Rita suggests are ‘too disturbed to be seen in public’.

7. Special mention goes to good old Teddy Lupin (son of Remus and Tonks) who has a bit of a rebellious streak and has been busy ‘snogging’ Victoire Weasley, daughter of Bill Weasley and wife Fleur. Good to know he’s happy at least – especially after being ignored in the film.
