Here’s one for all you cool jazz cats. Fans of influential musician and composer, Miles Davis can finally get a peak at how he’ll look in new biopic MILES AHEAD.
Don Cheadle is playing the trumpeter as well as writing and directing, and from the publicity image above, he clearly looks the part. With cigarette balanced on his lip, head down, shades on and arms cradled round his beloved trumpet, Cheadle is Miles.
It’s no surprise. MILES AHEAD is a labour of love for the actor – he’s a lifelong admirer of Davis. The IRON MAN 3 and House of Lies star has had the film in the pipeline for around ten years and has got the backing of the Davis family.
MILES AHEAD also stars Ewan McGregor, Dave Brill, Michael Stuhlbarg, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Lakeith Lee Stanfield, Morgan Wolk and Austin Lyon. It’s currently in pre-production. More when we hear it.
