‘Community’ Will Return For Sixth Season

Community DVD Image

Six seasons and a movie is a go! It has been revealed that Community has been saved from the chopping block and will be returning for its sixth season.

Community had been given the boot from its original studio NBC following low ratings, but Studio Sony Pictures Television has given Dan Harmon’s cult TV smash a new lease of life, ordering 13 new episodes of the series that will launch in the autumn on Yahoo! Screen. Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash are all set to reprise their roles, while Harmon will be returning as showrunner.

Dan Harmon had this to say about the return:

“I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo. I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!”

Is it too early to start thinking about the movie now?
