Meet The Citizens As ‘Gotham’ Posters Arrive

Gotham is one of autumn’s most hotly anticipated television pilots. The series will tell the story of Jim Gordon as he makes his way through the police ranks. Being set in the fictional city of Gotham of course means that along the way we will encounter many characters, good and bad from the Batman universe.

Gordon is to be played by The OC’s Ben McKenzie, with BLADE actor Donal Logue onboard as his mentor. The newly orphaned Bruce Wayne is being played by David Mazouz, the boy who brilliantly portrayed the role of mute Jake in Touch alongside Kiefer Sutherland. Wayne will be looked after by everyone’s favourite DOG SOLDIER Sean Pertwee, with Jada Pinkett-Smith also joining the project as a brand new to the world role.

To help promote the Fox show, a series of posters have gone, see below:

To eagle eyed bat-fans out there will notice that each poster features the character name, all of which are instantly recognizable, with the exception of Pinkett-Smith’s new arrival. Ivy Pepper is clearly Gotham’s version of Poison Ivy but why change her name from Pamela Isley? Was BATMAN & ROBIN really that bad?!

An airdate is still to be confirmed but from everything we’ve seen so far it would look like the CW’s Arrow may have some competition.
