The director of the highly anticipated series from Fox, GOTHAM, has hinted that Mr. Freeze could make an appearance on the show. Director Danny Cannon stated;
“I have a big pitch with Bruno about the Mr. Freeze character, whose origins are uncertain. If I can win Geoff Johns over and if I can win Bruno over, then I look forward to the moment where that character can be realized.”
It has been previously confirmed that The Penguin, Catwoman, The Riddler and Poison Ivy will be a part of the series produced by THE MENTALIST producer Bruno Heller.
Mr. Freeze has always been a somewhat sympathetic villain, he was previously portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the poorly received and over the top BATMAN & ROBIN. It will be interesting to see how his character translates to screen in GOTHAM if he is to join the series.
