‘Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Gods’ Slams Down An English Dub Trailer

Dragon Ball z is perhaps the most well known anime in existence. Even those unfamiliar with the inner workings of the franchise can probably recognise a name, character, or internet meme relating to the show. What may surprise some is that the show ended nearly 20 years ago, 11 if you want to go by the dub, and there hasn’t been a Dragon Ball movie in 17 years. Nope, not a single Dragon Ball movie anywhere…in existence…didn’t happen. However fans can now rejoice with FUNimation’s announcement that the latest film, DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF THE GODS, is to hit 350 screens across the US this August.

The film sees Beerus, a powerful god of destruction, who rises to search out and take on Goku. Of course our heroes must join in the fight before the Earth is destroyed. The story comes from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, so we’re hoping for something just as engaging and action packed as the series. The visuals look immense, but still keep the classic look.

DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF GODS will be a limited theatrical event on 5th, 6th, 7th, and 9th August.
