Rose Byrne may be reuniting with BAD NEIGHBOURS production companies, Point Grey Pictures and Good Universe to star in a space comedy project.
There’s not a huge amount of detail on THE SOMETHING yet, but the story revolves around astronauts losing their way in outer space. Byrne will play the love interest and Rodney Rothman is tipped to direct.
Aussie born Byrne is hot property in Hollywood at the moment, and she seems like an adaptable actress, moving between genres. She’s perhaps best known for her Emmy nominated performance in FX’s Damages. But Byrne’s also been dabbling with comedy in the successful BRIDESMAIDS, with Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy, and BAD NEIGHBOURS, with Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. Of course, Byrne is no stranger to sci-fi comedy after 2009’s KNOWING. That was a comedy, right?

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
