Horror’s most prolific writer Stephen King is back with new thriller Mr Mercedes and to celebrate the release of the book today, we’ve got a creepy animated trailer to get you in the mood…for murder!
The trailer’s a veritable feast of King references to books past; a smörgåsbord of his tastiest protagonists. Spot The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption, Carrie, IT and Misery.
Mr Mercedes follows retired homicide detective Bill Hodges. But instead of enjoying his golden years, Bill’s haunted by an unsolved murder case where a group of bystanders were mowed down by an unknown Mercedes driver. And now Bill’s received a taunting letter from the killer…
Meet Brady Hartsfield: Mercedes owner. He’s preparing to kill again, and the stakes are much higher this time. Will Bill be able to stop the bloodshed? Maybe he should just issue him a parking ticket and clamp him.
