It’s out now in the UK, and we highly recommend it, but if you wanted to know the story a little deeper then check out this massive new selection of clips that’s put together as one for EDGE OF TOMORROW.
Starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, EDGE OF TOMORROW under the direction of Doug Liman takes an original twist on the usual all-action thrillers. It unfolds in a near future where an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Cruise is Major William Cage but not your usual character, as he’s actually an Ad Man who’s never seen a day of combat. When a series of events throws him into combat, he’s killed within minutes and Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.
But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
Check out the big trailer below but don’t say we didn’t warn you, as it does delve a lot further into the plot. If you’re in London as well, we’d say head to the new Empire Cinema IMAX as their brand-new screen gives you a brilliant experience.
EDGE OF TOMORROW is out now and also stars Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda and Tony Way.
