It has been confirmed that the OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN director Antoine Fuqua has been offered the chance to direct the new FOX thriller NARCO SUB.
NARCO SUB is set around a disgraced American naval officer now forced to pilot a submarine loaded with cocaine past US Coast Guards. It was originally a project of the late Tony Scott but will now be produced by his brother Ridley Scott and Michael Schaefer with Jules Daly and Simon Kinsberg.
The former music director is in high demand right now as he has just finished work on THE EQUALIZER reboot which sees him reunited with Denzel Washington whom he directed in TRAINING DAY. It has also been reported that MGM has offered him the chance to direct the upcoming MAGNIFICENT SEVEN remake. The remake has already attracted a lot of controversy from fans of the original. TRUE DETECTIVE writer Nic Pizzolatto is already working on the script and there is word that MGM have approached Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt to star.
Keep checking back for more news.
