After the fantastic second trailer for Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, excitement surrounding the film is at an all time high. Bay’s upcoming fourth instalment in the incredibly lucrative toy-based franchise, is looking like the most thrilling and action-packed film in the series…and that is definitely saying something!
Following the climactic conclusion to the original trilogy starring Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox, this new entry in the series will continue to inhabit the previously established universe, but with an entirely new cast. As a result Mark Wahlberg will be taking over as the TRANSFORMERS’ new leading man after the TED star previously worked with Bay on last years PAIN AND GAIN. With more explosions, robot-mayhem and brand new dinosaur transformers to look forward to in AGE OF EXTINCTION, Wahlberg has teased a few more details on what to expect in the upcoming film. Check out the brand new interview below:
‘I think a lot of time, moviegoers are kind of tricked by trailers. They’ll see a cool moment and go, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to see that,’ but once they see [the trailer] they’ve seen the best bits of the movie’. ‘
Recruiting the dinobots — it’s pretty elaborate in how it happens. [It’s] not like Optimus has a whistle and they come running, he’s really got to convince them to come onboard and fight this fight, and it’s pretty cool how it’s done. I think people are definitely going to get their money’s worth, it’s well worth the wait. And I think, for the die-hard fans, they’re going to have a whole new thing to look forward to in the future’.
‘Just expect to be blown away’.
‘When we saw parts of the movie, and how it’s come together, you know, you have a whole new cast, you have a whole new threat, new enemies and all the things that you liked, with all the explosions and the action, but it’s just a little bit more realistic, a little bit more believable, I think’.
